We thoroughly enjoyed working with Joe Dolansky on our kitchen renovation. Joe's attention to detail, design ideas, and willingness to visit to our house on multiple occasions to work with us on our design has made our new kitchen as functional as it is beautiful! What's amazingly helpful about Joe is that he can bring cabinets and door samples to your house, so that the client can have a better sense of how the door styles and cabinet colors "work" in their space. In my opinion, this is such a better experience than simply going to a showroom to look at kitchen floor models, and it proved extremely helpful in our design process. Well the dust has settled and the paint is dry in our new kitchen and we are thoroughly enjoying it. As you know, when we initiated the project the objective was to have a kitchen with more storage and better functionality at an affordable cost. Much to your credit we succeeded in all areas. Your ability to create and patiently fine tune several versions of the layout, including new construction, cabinetry, appliances, counters, and lighting, was a major factor in our achieving all the objectives we had for this once in a lifetime endeavor. The Shiloh cabinets are exactly what Mary and I, mostly Mary, had envisioned in terms of quality, style and appearance. The cabinets are well made and the Frame-less construction, which I initially questioned when you suggested it, makes' the cabinets very user friendly with a nice clean look. I’d strongly recommend partnering with Shohola Kitchens for your kitchen redesign. Joe was fantastic to work with- personable, thorough, great ideas and strong attention to details. I met with Joe several times and he made it easy to meet. Each time he took the time to understand what we were trying to accomplish with our project, came up with great ideas we would not have thought of on our own and also took the time to help us understand what we were designing (volunteering to help us tape off the space to get a better feel of the layout and showing us 360 degree sketches of what we were designing). Joe was also very accommodating with meeting times, we work a lot and have 2 small children so he’d always make himself available in a reasonable timeframe at times that worked for us. Our contractor also has loved working with him as well… We have also been thrilled with our cabinets. The quality was outstanding and the functionality of the design is awesome! I cooked my first meal in my kitchen last night and was amazed at how much more efficient it was to work in the new design. I’m also enjoying some of the details that Joe thought of such as taking advantage of some dead space on the backside of our island to house all of our children’s art supplies…they are LOVING it! It was a pleasure to work with Joe Dolansky and Shohola Kitchens, as I remodeled my kitchen to bring it from 1948 to 2012. Joe understood my goal to keep my kitchen new, yet honoring the style of the house. The design is perfect for the room, with increased counter and work space, while maintaining the eat in table important to this kitchen. The quality of the cabinets is excellent.
